Thoughts on Resolutions...

portrait of Victoria

In my 26 (almost 27) years of life, I have never made a new year's resolution, I think they’re silly, they set people up to fail and are really just a gimmick for places like gyms to get you to spend your money. However this year I’m making one. Starting this year I’m going to actually do things that I say I’m going to do. My biggest flaw is that I walk around everyday telling everyone about all of these “great ideas” I have all of the time, yet I never act on them. When an idea goes unused it as good as useless, just like a great photo that goes unpublished. I suppose it's better to try and fail instead of letting everything sit on a hard drive in a drawer.

I might be going a little crazy from being home for the last couple of days but I've full of fresh and exciting ideas lately. It could also be the arrival of the New Year... 2016 was a year of big changes for me, some good and some bad, so now I'm looking to capitalize on 2017. My biggest project for the new year is to make one photograph a day for a year, and to post said photo on this website and on instagram.  In addition to making a new photograph everyday, I will be posting a new photograph on Unsplash everyday. (If you don't know who they are I recommend checking them out) To make it a community thing, I'll be using the tag #unsplash365 so feel free to come along for the ride.

The photo of Victoria is the first submission to my "make a photo everyday" project. The two photos of In New York City are for my Unsplash 365 and are available on my page here:
