June In Review

At around six days into the month of June something clicked. I don't know exactly what it was, I just started taking photographs every day. I know that sounds odd for me to say seeing as I am a photographer and this is a photography blog but often times, I've struggled to practice every day.

I ended the month of June with just shy of 500 photos captured. That number of significantly higher than the moths that came before. The only month this has more images this year is February. The bulk of that month's work was made during our five-day trip out to Joshua Tree and Death Valley National Parks.

If I have learned one thing this month, It is that photographing more results in a larger body of work. You can edit down to a reasonable number of images. What is left is a better series of images. I've gained a better understanding of my work. My strengths are weaknesses. My likes and dislikes.
