An Evening At Autumn Lake Winery

If there is one thing I hope we have learned as we emerge from isolation, it's that the ability to enjoy the company of friends and family in nature is priceless. Despite living in the most densely populated state in the country, we are lucky to still have wide open spaces like Autumn Lake to enjoy the outdoors.

Our evening at the winery began under heavy cloud cover. We even experienced a brief drizzle while eating pizza and sipping our wine at the edge of the lake. Soon after, the Sun broke through the clouds and bathed the entire winery with warm golden hour light for roughly 10 minutes. I took the opportunity to stroll around the edge of the lake and capture anything that caught my eye.

My X-Pro2 was slung over my shoulder with the XF 35mm 1.4 mounted to it. The 53mm equivalent field of view allowed me to capture a wide range of subjects. The Fuji Velvia film simulation provides the perfect color pallette for this type of light. Greens and blues become saturated and more vivid.
